IRCO’s RVT prepares 100 eligible refugee adults residing in the Tri-County area for employment in the fields of child care or care giving, providing these adults with skills necessary for advancement and high wages in these occupations. Funded through the Oregon State Refugee Program, IRCO’s RVT is offered at IRCO’s Skill Center and reflects a strong collaboration with community partners playing a leadership role in the health care field. These partners include both employers (Prestige Care, Inc. and Marquis) and training institutions (e.g., Cascade Medical School and WorkSource Centers).
