Program Summary

IRCO is proud to be a part of Multnomah County's Schools Uniting Neighborhoods program. IRCO runs three SUN schools in Southeast Portland: Gilbert Park, King and Lent Elementary Schools in Southeast Portland. IRCO's SUN Schools provide site based services such as extended day activities, family engagement, and community involvement at Lent, Gilbert Park and King schools and the surrounding communities.

In accordance with Multnomah County's SUN Schools Intiative, IRCO's SUN programs seek to: improve the lives of children, their families and the community through partnering with local school communities to extend the school day and develop schools as "community centers" in their neighborhoods.

IRCO's SUN Schools all offer unique after school activites that enrich the lives of not only the students of the three schools, but those of their families and the entire community.
