About our Translators

We employ some of the most experienced language specialists locally and nationally. Many of our translators are ATA certified, and many of our translators work in fields applicable to the documents that they translate. Since professional translation accreditation through the ATA is not available for some of the immigrant and refugee languages in which we specialize, we have developed our own screening and evaluation procedures to fill in the gaps. We have passed rigorous quality screening to provide translation services to the State of Oregon in all of its required languages.

It is not only the quality of the people we employ that is subject to scrutiny; every job that passes through our office receives individual attention from staff. Translations go through extensive quality control screening and comprehensive project management that includes identifying language specialists (translators, editors and proofreaders) qualified for the specific job, managing deadlines and work order changes, and final quality checks for accuracy in numbers, addresses and format.

We would be happy to provide you with references and/or sample translations so that you may independently confirm the quality of our services.

Translation Information and Requests

Written Translation Services are available in more than 60 languages. Requests for translation can be submitted in-person, via email, mail or fax. ILB's friendly staff is available during regular business hours to provide estimates and answer any questions you may have.

Translation jobs are priced by project and costs vary depending upon the amount of text, content, language and output requirements, turnaround time and delivery mode.

We are able to accept and work in a wide variety of formats, are able to format translations to match the originals, and we offer revisions to previously translated documents at a reduced cost, while ensuring overall consistency in terms and phrases used. The quality and accessibility of our translations are of the utmost concern to us.

After careful review of the document(s) to be translated, we will generate an estimate. Each estimate includes the cost of translation, editing, proofreading, formatting, deliverables and date of completion, in accordance with any general contract. Work on the translation begins once the final estimate has been approved.

We also offer the services of a Notary Public to certify translations, as necessary.
