IRCO 2022 Needs Assessment

IRCO has been conducting the Community Needs Assessment (CNA) since 1998, and this year’s report is the 9th iteration. The CNA is a community-driven process that elevates the voices of our immigrant and refugee communities to ensure that programming and services are responsive to their needs.

IRCO Community Development

IRCO Community Development addresses disparities and equity issues in Multnomah County and often sit in committees and coalitions to provide insight on immigrant and refugee priorities. Some of our programs include: Civic Engagement Trainings, legislative training, Know Your Rights trainings, policy advocacy work, informational sessions on refugee needs, and civic leadership programs.

Under Community Development, our Diversity & Civic Leadership Program (DCL) aims to develop immigrant and refugee community members and organizations to become effective advocates engaging in city/state government and neighborhood initiatives. DCL program’s signature activity is ENGAGE where IRCO provides capacity-building training.
